Atlanta International Fashion Week

The excitement of going to Atlanta Fashion Week increased in the days leading up to the events starting Tuesday night, so much so that I decided to go on a big shopping spree the day before leaving.
Once we arrived Tuesday, I began to plan my outfits for the week. In going through my unnecessary amount of bags, I realize that I am missing all of the brand new clothes I had hoped would turn heads at the events. I managed to put together an appropriate outfit that Tuesday, because being a photographer I didn't feel the need to be overly dressed.
The next day I suggested that we go to the Goodwill in Buckhead. I figured, being Buckhead, I would find tons of name brands and high quality clothes that were "last season" to that community, but that I could still make look fabulous. On the way back we stopped at a consignment shop, where I scored a Juicy Couture Dress and Nine West shoes, all for around 40 dollars.
I used this as a test, seeing as how I want to be a stylist. And I have to say, I think I did a pretty good Job!
Tuesday night (Welcome Mixer at Bottle Bar Buckhead), before the impromptu shopping trip I sported black skinny jeans from Tjmaxx (19.99), a tucked in neon v-neck from Forever21(4.99), B&W striped blazer from Tjmaxx (19.99), and a pair of brown leather, glittery oxfords from Century21(35.00).
Wednesday (Fashion Shows at Hotel Indigo): Black A-line Juicy Couture (25$) dress and Nine West shoes (25$) from Alexis' Suitcase

Thursday: Green Maxi dress from Goodwill at Buckhead
(ps- LOVE the vintage pink camera bag!)

Friday (Celebrity Fashion Shows 200 Peachtree): Ann Taylor navy slacks, Calvin Klein white button down, Maroon and Navy suspenders (1$), Paisley tie (1$), Over sized leopard glasses from Urban Outfitters (14$)
This outfit was paired with the sparkly oxfords from night one, and the paisley tie and suspenders both contained similar colors, enough to create the illusion of matching perfectly! Also, the glasses are one of my favorite things and need to be showcased! Here's a close up!So overall, I feel pretty successful in creating a few perfect looks for Fashion Week despite leaving all of my clothes at home! The next post will cover all of the people I met, and designs I saw and loved.
